Good video my friend.. my question is will these fit on my existing pipes.. the external diameter of the one to connect the sink to, is much closer to 42mm. Measured with digital vernier calipers. Any thoughts please ?

Nice! Do you have to push both the pvc pipes all the way to the middle of the coupling until they stop or can you pull them back a bit so you can use the coupling as an "extension" so-to-speak? I'm looking to gain an inch or so, so I'd stop each pipe 1/2" short of the middle. Do you know if this is ok to do?

New vanity and sink, fixing in waste... I've got a leak between the waste U bend and the sink thread. Is this because I over-tightened it and it 'popped' destroying the thread or do I need some sort of putty or silicone? Will silicone fill the leak? Will I need new U bend? Also I used the glue fittings on another bit but the joining piece was quite loose on the pipe even though correct size, so not surprised I got a leak. Can silicone fix this around sides? Or will I have to start again? Many thanks.

I find the push fit ones too loose and can move out over time. Apart from using more wall clips, can I make push fit tighter (especially as some makers can get the exactly the same pipe size as newer fittings)? Any tips?

When you look at some pipe work under the floor boards and it's just the pipe you can see and no connectors, how can you tell if it's push fit or solvent weld pipe.

Anyway to very firmly secure push fit pipes e.g. w/ a glue of some sort or even screws?

Personally and I’ve said this for years, push fit should be banned..hate the stuff...and not quicker than solvent as you have to file the end, something you don’t have to do on solvent
