Unironically, style(the first dude) looking like an adult while being 14 makes a lot of sense for his character.

First of all, smoking and tattoos are things that teenagers find cool, but more importantly, teenagers who do these things tend to be the bad kids, style's character is supposedly that, he tries to go against the church but ultimately fails, so instead he acts like an adult pretending to be mature, but he himself is still a child in heart, this is most obvious whenever he teams up with touma, showing how he's just like him with.
