If you’re wondering. This is the best version on youtube. This guy understands tone and pacing

Finally, someone who could explain this in a way that doesn't make it sound overly complicated, and the illustrations helped exponentially

Eru is just trying to enjoy his classical music while Melkor just bursts in playing Death metal

Notice how the different songs sung by the Ainur represented the 4 ages of middle-earth, and how the ways Melkor interrupted the songs dictated in which ways the ages enemies would operate.

IMO It should be mandatory for every man working on the new lotr amazon series to watch this video.

Melkor was a jazz musician among classical musicians 😂

And thus, the echoes of ancient conflict can still be heard today, as each new generation arises, the eternal words from parent to child can be heard: "How can you listen to that crap?"

The accent of this guy when he pronounces Elvish names is *E P I C*

So in summation: Melkor is that one emo kid who refuses to sing with the rest of the class and instead writes his own songs that he tries to shout over everyone else's singing

Its actually stated that after the creation of trees and plants, Yavana pleaded Eru to create the Ents to protect them from the soon to be created 1st and 2nd children. This makes the Ents the 1st and oldest living creatures of Arda and also makes Treebeard the oldest living being of Arda.

When the races first awoke;
Dwarf: " _Aach, back so stiff. Nice to stretch a bit._ "
Valar: " _Guaah?! You're so ugly! GO BACK TO SLEEP!_ "
Elves: " _We are the first race to awaken..!_ "
Valar: " _Yeaah, Fiiiirst that's right!_ "

Later;
Ungoliant: " _I'm hungry! Gimmie those Silmarils!_ "
Melkor: " _You had your fill! You can't have these!_ "
Ungoliant: " _Fine. Ii'll just eat YOU TOO then!_ "
Melkor " _Help, HEEEELP! I'm being consumed by a giant spider!_ "

Absolutely fantastic mate. By my beard, I love the Silmarillion.

I read the Simarillion last year, watched the recapitulative videos after each chapter but I am still (re)learning many details of this world, its stories and characters, so intricate and rich Tolkien's creation is; this, even after I went through Greek, Roman, Gallic, English and Norse mythology from which he took inspiration.
