Good segment Mike, on Board Games and Bow Ties. I am the primary teacher of games in our group. I discovered that handing people specific components as you explain how they are used helps them connect the dry explanation with something they can touch and feel, and helps them to engage.

I like the idea of a new miniature painting segment... first because I'd like to get started on that... maybe... u know if I can stop procrastinating about it :)
but in any case... it's fun to watch people paint AND aquire knowledge even if you don't put it in practice. Like watching Bob Ross paint :)

Pandemic Legacy WAS really big (for me for sure), very excited!

I stopped the video to write this after Tom mentioned that he shouldn't have said he was going to post something big as it seems some people got bent out of shape for his posting of the Pandemic Legacy review. I thought it was great personally and I really enjoyed seeing the excitement on their faces (Tom. Sam and especially Zee). What were these people expecting? This is a boardgame channel. Maybe they thought Tom had a copy of the new Star Wars Episode 7 movie???
Well I loved the review and can't wait for more of the same :-) Keep up the excellent work! :-)

Very interesting to see the difference between BGB & DTR's review scores for VS 2PCG, this is why I like the different views Dice Tower curates and why it's important to make sure the reviewer you are looking to for guidance plays/enjoys the games you typically like.

To Tom & The Dice Tower Staff...I do appreciate the amount of content that you guys put out.  In fact, a couple of years ago my wife and I made the decision to cancel our cable because we were finding more entertaining content on channels such as yours than on t.v.(and your videos are far more family friendly!).  When I realized I was spending more hours watching your stuff than television,  it was an easy decision.  Since that time, your stuff has just gotten better and better. Thanks for your efforts.

Chaz, those cards are inserted because it's cheaper to print those given the printing technique used by Upper Deck, and they simply don't throw them away, which they probably should (people are confused by it, it seems).

I always must think Dice Tower is bigger than it is. Whenever I find someone who likes board games, I usually bring up the Dice Tower and I'm always surprised if someone says they don't know the Dice Tower.

However, even after this 'Tom Thinks" segment, I will still get giddy when I see someone at a convention!

I tend to think of The Dice Tower as "big and huge" in influence rather than size. You are my top provider of board game reviews and information and I can clearly see the progress you are making from year to year. I also prefer you lot to Wheaton because of your non-celeb status. You are a bunch of guys that play games and I appreciate that.

Tom, you are big in our eyes, like a father is big in their child's eyes. Doesn't matter if you have fancy camera crew, a catchy opening sequence, or have a certain end goal in mind. The DiceTower leads board gamers to what's new, what's old, and what we have to look forward to. Even if the show ends abruptly, just like that same child leaving home, the DiceTower is still like a father to us all.
