I stayed with friends in Lahaina in 2021. It was my first big vacation in years and my first time leaving my own state since COVID. The people there were so welcoming and it pains me to see the town like this. I wish the people of Lahaina a safe and healthy future.

Astounding that the landscape around the town hasn't burned as well given that it's very flammable invasive grass. For the first time in my life I'm very suspicious about the real cause of fires like this that seem oddly concentrated on urban structures.

I'm saying prayers that all the people that lost everything and are still there, please help these people!! They need everything just to get through day to day! Food, water, ice, baby food, diapers formula, clothes, gas! They probably do not have cell service if they even have phones! But they are essentially homeless and without any money or transportation!! May they receive all the help they need! I have a huge place in my heart for that place! It was probably the most beautiful place I have ever been in my life! If I could repay that with my prayers.... I know I can never but I will pray and advocate for all of them! They just dont deserve this but no one does! God Bless You All! Mahalo!

Never been to Hawaii. Dreamed all my life even as a little boy to go there. So sad to see this happen to such a beautiful place. My prayers and thoughts are with the people of Hawaii. America is strong and we will come together as one and rebuild your communities better than ever for a promising future and normal life again. That's a promise and Gods will from this great nation!

Did All the celebrities offer their mansions to those without homes? Can they pull together some money to rebuild their houses? I’m sure Lahaina’s citizens don’t want huge mansions, just place they would call home.
