Tropical Storm Chances get even Higher...

The chance of a tropical storm (or multiple tropical storms) forming is getting higher and higher. All major models are latching onto the development of tropical storm and hurricane development later this month. We will see signs of this as soon as next week.

TIMING:
Next week, strong tropical waves emerge from Africa. As they get closer to the Caribbean, conditions are more conducive for development.

MODELS:
European: Tropical storm development
GFS: Tropical storm and hurricane development
ICON: Tropical storm development
CMC: Multiple tropical storms/hurricane development

It isn't all about models. Why are the models latching onto development? The atmosphere will not be as dry. Atmospheric conditions are key.

So is the water! The water temperatures are at record highs. If something develops, it could feed off the record warm water, and gain strength quickly.

Monitoring closely. We will see if the dry air continues to win the battle!

Also my mom is a Navy veteran of 31 years and she spent a lot of time in Hawaii so I’m very familiar with the islands and I can’t stop thinking about those affected by the wildfires. Some parts of the islands affected by the fires is native land, very remote areas and beautiful people. When I was in college my sophomore year my mom switched duty station from St Mary’s Georgia were I graduated high school from to Hawaii I spent the summer in Hawaii until it was time for me to get back to Gainesville, Florida for training camp. But I actually dated a native from O’ahu and she actually flew to Florida from Hawaii to spend time with me for a couple of weeks. But we eventually decided to break up because she couldn’t handle the long distance relationship. So I’m praying 🙏🏾 for everyone who’s affected by the wildfires
