Not to get too personal, but ive recently gone through a breakup of 5 years. And during this time I am trying to find my identity again. Trying to live for me and not the expectations of others, trying to unlearn and redefine who I am and who I want to become. Like you said its soo easy to get caught up living for others. Essentially having others whether its family or partner's opinions drive and dictate your life. I am choosing now to take everyday as a step towards the woman I imagine myself to be!

This is something I've been sitting with lately. It's absolutely wild to sit and notice how many of our responses/reactions are ingrained in us from outside sources, whether that be family members or society. Or even some responses are informed by a fake version of ourselves that we wish we were, that we built up in our minds when we were in a rough spot.
