This is amazing!
I've been living on Dex only the past weeks, but want to add a second monitor. Both a windows laptop and Chromebook look interesting now. Windows seems easier having the Samsung apps and access to another OS for specific apps. On a 21:9 monitor as I hace you might put the portrait phone next to a 16:9 Dex. On a second screen there could be Chrome or Win. Plus a laptop or even touch screen :)

before DeX, and before Flow, I used to use Sidesync this way. Flow is getting close, but sidesync was a much better solution for remotely projecting your phone screen.


that being said, this is a cool way to do it, but I probably would never do flow and dex at the same time, i think it's more productive to have dex OR flow on 1 screen, and the native windows/mac os on the other. best of both worlds. fun vid tho

That's a nice workaround, but it would be even better if they just put a thunderbolt 4 or equivalent to have dual monitor output from the phone usb-c.µ
Also linux app support would be much appreciated on dex.

I've bought galaxy tab s8+ and tried using dex for the first time. I've installed the dex on my windows 10 pc but it won't detect my tablet. Checking the faq and it says it doesn't support dex tablets. So I'm confused at this point. This is the first time I'm using dex, so i may not understood. Does that mean I can't use my tab s8+ samsung dex to pc? Do i need the Dex station for this?

Thank you. I got this to work with an HP dock and a pluggable usb 2.0 adapter. Using the display link. My Tab S8 is fully functional. I did not use samsung flow.

Perfect, I bought usb c hub, but with this one don't need usbc hub.... Use case for 3 monitor could be on similar line one for windows, one for mobile screen, one for desk..

I have a NexDock Touch Wireless coming next week. I already have a TV that I use DeX on with a USB-C hub and USB keyboard/mouse.

Is it possible for me to still use wired DeX on the TV, while wirelessly mirroring my regular phone screen on the NexDock to basically make it a tablet?

Is there a way to use the phone Samsung Note 20 Ultra as the second screen for the Samsung Galaxy Tab s6? I mean in a way you extend the screen, not to mirror it.

Hi there I have a Samsung S9 plus and Dex works great however I wondered is there a way to extract the app Dex and install it on other phones like my wife's LG G7 as it also support USB-C and when I use her phone it only mirrors to the screen.

Can you check out the keep active apps, it basically allows you to keep apps open when switching between samsung dex and your phone, it wont restart your app but i dont get how to do it and there isnt any tutorials anywhere

I'm using dex since a year as a minimalistic pc-setup at home. it's great. but to "abuse" my 2screen i7 powered W10 pc in my office to work on my mobile makes no sense for me. nevertheless thx:)
