iv glutathione for skin whitening
Certain Manufacturers of glutathione “recommend '' that you take IV glutathione to achieve the desired therapeutic levels you need for the skin to rapidly produce “instant” skin whitening results. But how much of that is true? And since glutathione has been Hailed for generations as a “magical skin whitening” molecule, like in the philippines, its popularity has been growing and growing each year and a lot of misinformation is out there on it as well.
Is iv glutathione safe? Is iv glutathione better than supplement.
Sadly, A lighter skin tone has been considered a superior trait in most races, especially in women of Asian or African descent who have Fitzpatrick skin types 4 thru 6. Manufacturers know that there is a huge demand and obsession to get whiter skin, so they have an incentive to push the narrative that IV glutathione is the solution for that. Here is the problem though. Glutathione is a small, low-molecular weight, water-soluble thiol-tripeptide formed by three amino acids (glutamate, cysteine and glycine). So it doesnt stay long in the body if taken orally, hence why iv glutathione is said to be preferred.
Is iv glutathione effective?
Glutathione is known for being the mother of all antioxidants, it helps make dna, it regenerates vitamin c and e, it helps the liver and gallbladder deal with fats, and interestingly it may also help with removing mercury from the brain. So definitely you cant discredit the powerful benefits that glutathione has, but just because it is the mother of all antioxidants and the most powerful antioxidant in the body, that doesnt mean it whitens the skin.
In fact, glutathione as a skin-lightening agent was an accidental discovery when skin lightening was noticed as a side effect of large doses of glutathione and this was due to its effects on stopping the enzyme tyrosinase from working.
Iv glutathione dose for skin whitening.
Manufactureres recommend 600–1200 mg for skin lightening, to be injected once or twice a week, but dont tell you for how long to keep doing that for. Which is a problem because long term safety goes up in the air. How do you know when its okay to stop? And what exactly happens when taking it for a long time? Does the skin go back to its original color? You really cant be sure. Speaking of long term safety. The Department of Health, in the Republic of the Philippines, issued a a warning for the public on the safety of the off-label use of glutathione injections with reported side effects like Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrolysis (TEN), severe abdominal pain, thyroid dysfunction, renal dysfunction, and lethal complications such as air embolism, or potentially fatal sepsis due to incorrect/unsterile methods of IV use.
