Abstract Algebra 83: Impossible straight-edge and compass constructions

Abstract: We describe several straight-edge and compass constructions that in general are not possible. These include trisecting an arbitrary angle, squaring a circle, and doubling the cube. In the next video we will touch upon how algebra can be used to prove these constructions are impossible in general.
