I was at the Linden stockyard to assist with paperwork. A guy came by in a stock trailer and dropped off about 20 goats. It was in screaming hot July. Within 20 minutes of the goats being dropped off, 95% of the goats were on the ground either overheated or in labor—or both. It was a nightmare. The vet came by to check the cattle, and helped us get the goats in a more comfortable area. We hosed down the goats that overheated, and moved the laboring goats to a better location. However, the person that dropped off the goats disappeared—nowhere and never to be found. The goats did not sell. We were able to find homes for the goats, but not all of the goats made it through the experience. When Jason gives advice about their animals, I take it as the gospel.

Yea…..I don’t see myself having goats. My husband wants goats, but I’m the one who does everything for the animals (chickens and rabbits) and I don’t think I could handle all that. Plus the expense! Hubs thinks you just let a goat eat the weeds and don’t have to buy feed. Regular vet visits, medications, feed, etc….we can’t afford it. He is disabled and I am retired. My 30 yr old brain thinks I can do all the things, but my 60 year old body has other ideas.

My daughter teaches at a school and showed them one of your videos for kids and they were silent for Several minutes. They had a farm day at school the other day and one of the students asked her if she knew farmer Jason. Thank you for what you do.

I pass a pasture of beautiful lil goats and lots of babies. Its rained for 4 days in a row. I mean really hard. Those poor little goats gathered in the corner together. Not even as much as a tree to give them shelter. IT BREAKS MY HEART. I feel so very sorry for them.

Midlands of SC no lights since 4 am. Our pecan tree has limbs down everywhere. Normally get 300# in a good year. Won't get that this year. My 99 yr old mama loves her tree. My sister and I say she loves it more than us. Prayers for everyone now and future from this storm.

Learned so much about goats in this video. Not to mention when Phi Phi had 3 babies who survived because you and Brooke knew what to do. Plus Brooke is a great mama.

7:35 I bet that Miss Capri doesn’t like cilantro. Although I do like a good banana sandwich on white bread with mayonnaise.

I don't have plans to get goats. I can't have animals where I live. I watch them virtually by watching yours and other farm channels. I do appreciate you sharing your wisdom and experience with them.

My neighbors refused to get pigmy goats because they found them IMPOSSIBLE to contain.
They never had issues with the Nubians.
