Destiny 2 Season of the Wish
Looking for a build which you can use in every Grandmaster Nightfall available this season? Warlocks can provide the support and firepower needed for both easy and fast clears. Solar warlock has been a staple in end game content for as long as its been available and this build is one which is most suited of the lot for endgame grandmaster content.
Weapons will be utilizing the solar artefact mods of; Kindling Trigger, Flint Striker, Torch & Rays of Precision. Allowing any solar weapon to apply scorch, ignite and even increased base damage against targets.
The exotic of choice here dictates the build, Cenotaph mask will cause trace rifles to highlight high priority targets and when defeated by teammates will drop heavy ammo for all of them and special ammo for yourself. Meaning that you can keep tagging those targets and your team can get a consistent stream of heavy ammo. And with some of the high power options such as Gjallarhorn, Dragons Breath and supporting legendary rockets having an absurd amount of heavy ammo will be the biggest difference maker in completing a Grandmaster Nightfall.
While this is made to be a support role the ridiculous nature of solar this season means you still have options to chain ignitions with weapons such as Polaris Lance and can make full use of a Gjallarhorn user with a perfectly crafted Apex Predator.

Cool video. Though can I make a suggestion? Use the footage you're talking over to back up the point you're making. For example, you mention that it's easy to notice when a champion is marked. Use that opportunity to actually show footage of a marked champion so the viewer can see what you mean. Otherwise good vid.

I personally think ember of benevolence is very good to run with cenotaph. Helps make up for the lack of ability regeneration you have

came across this guide and im trying it out. My regular fire team likes me running this. Thanks for the guide. I was considering swapping the weapons around to run Lumina and for trace rifle go retraced path. Handcannons are super strong this season and the extra buff from Lumina is nothing to sneeze at

would be incredible if there had been a DIM link to the build

i just happen to have a retraced path with shoot to loot and disruption break in my vault although i dont know what to pair it with. Part of me wants to go double special with witherhoard and apex predator in the heavy slot but i would love some recommendations if anyone can help me out

You said choose Unravelling Orbs and Horde Shuttle if using Incisor but you did not show a graphic for those choices. Which perk do I sacrifice for those?

Rewind rounds is pretty unnecessary with cenotaph. I'd choose field prep, none of the options are very good tbh

It’s a great support but you don’t feel great playing it. You’ll be last, very few points as you won’t kill champs, even backing off on a champ while your team mates realise and catch up in lfgs.

While your bros are slaying with almost infinite heavy your feeling like your missing out on the fun.

To make it more interesting I went double special, while you might not spec into stunning both champs all the time, I used indebted as an add clear, your bros can step up for the stuns.

For effectiveness though, I don’t think I’ve ran them as fast as this. You can be very aggressive but you’ll feel like a safety belt in a sports car and look like one.

I have a crafted retraced path, of course when crafted, I didn't choose those perks.
Sucks that I can no longer choose 'shoot to loot', if it was an available option when the gun was crafted, it really should remain so, hence the entire point of going through the bother of crafting the thing! Bungo never ceases to perplex me with such dumb decisions, continually convincing me that they really don't play their own game with such braindead/always the easiest changes mentality, instead of excluding crafted guns from whatever perk pool can currently be found on random world drop guns/new season crafted variants, leaving the options like shoot to loot available if they were once available for that crafted gun. But that would take a little elbow grease, which they seem to have in short supply as they continue to murder the fuck out of what could have been an ongoing 'cash cow' title if they acknowledged that their customer base won't continue to just be ok with whatever re-hashed content they continue to pump out. Rant over.

Thanks for uploading the video, have been trying to find a strong build for the cenotaph that could help with mostly solo content, but without shoot to loot it's a non-starter as it negates the survivability aspect required for solo-running difficult content - using distance to your advantage. I guess using a healing grenade/powerful attraction could assist with 'safer' runs to pickup ammo, but it doesn't fix the issue of the time limited to pickup orbs of power limited to just 60 seconds, which goes by fast in higher difficulty solo runs, which ideally you would need powered class ability to take advantage of powerful attraction. And your solo run chances failing are still high even if you have restoration (even x2) active. There's too many better build options for solo content.
I'm sure it's still a decent support build for GM's, but boring AF for my playstyle in multiplayer activities, especially when the exotics to regen super energy when running a well were nerfed to death a long time ago (Phoenix Protocol, Mantle of Battle Harmony).
Thanks again for posting, will share with friends who prefer support rolls.
