I was almost sucked into this pit at 10-12. It's normal to be uncomfortable with a growing body, what is ghoulish is mutilating a growing kid. These surgeons should have their licenses revoked for malpractice.

Some people have pointed out a frequent theme that pops up. It's a lot of girls getting this done ... It mostly effects girl because girls through a growing stage where they become uncomfortable with their body, and once you hit puberty as a girl it can become worse because now you can get pregnant, so you're on high alert for awhile. Girls also get sexualized openly more at almost any age, so this discomfort can fester with all these feelings. And a lot of girls who feel, "They're not girly, can fall into this BS" I was one of those girls. And sadly have had life changing surgeries.

When I was about 12 or 13 the movie THEN and NOW came out with Cristina Ricci. I really identified with her character because she didn’t want to grow boobs and would duct tape them down. I hated my boobs growing, not that I felt like I should be a boy, but I just felt like I didn’t want them, I felt more comfortable being a tomboy. That feeling changed however when I was 15 and older. Then I realized yea I’m ok with this. Adolescents need time to adjust to their hormones and changing bodies not stop them! Anything that will stop the normal process of the body growing and changing will not have positive healthy results.

Nooo this can't be, I can relate to this new generation I'm sure many of us went through a phase, I didn't like my boobs I hated wearing bras, sport bras I was embarrassed I hated my periods and i always said when i get older im going to get my tubes tide cuz i thought that would prevent a menstrual cycle. I was about 12, 13, 14 and by 16 I was more comfortable it's an adjustment, I love myself now and it took me a while to realize that I am beautiful, now 32, married and I have 2 kids. I love being a woman, mother and wife.

I hope these doctors, lawmakers and organisations are preparing excuses as to why they mutilated and sterilised children.

When I developed breasts. I was super uncomfortable, upset even because people even my dad would point it out and I started feeling sexualized. Instead of feeling empowered. Like i should of felt. Now I’m happy everyday I have boobs and can squeeze em anytime. It’s the best. I had to really embrace womanhood and stand up to misogyny. The double standards are wack.

This is horrible. Teens change their mind about what to wear to s hook every morning and lunch 2-4 x a day and what they will do over the weekend at least 8x and what to wear out with friends 4-6 x a day . They change what they wanna do for a career at least 18-28 times in junior and senior year alone and even change careers while in college . They can't make their minds and they will all regret this. Can't get it back. It's permanent, will be depressed, pay for meds every month not cheap for life and more depressed, will change minds want kids and find a man they love. Happens a lot. Proven and end up committing suicide . They are killing these kids . Mentally then physically over time. STOP IT. It's SICK. Leave the kids ALONE! What's the damn rush . Give them till 30. before they can be touched. I guarantee 3/4 s will change minds and won't do it
