People hate on this car too much. It’s cheap as hell for being an AWD sedan. I would seriously consider buying one of these over like a Civic or a Corolla, they start at 23k and you could most def find an Impreza for MSRP unlike even base models for those cars, which go for 30k in my area. Only car I think really gives it a run for it’s money at its price point is the Mazda3.

7.8 seconds 0-60 was achieved by Motor Week (video on YouTube) and by Motor Trend on a 2021 Crosstrek Sport, essentially a lifted Impreza Sport.

driving a 2022 Ascent touring, and its nice, doesnt do the simulated shifts but does have a 4 cylinder turbo engine which makes it zippy

Gave this video a thumbs-up, but that time is horrible! Subaru has the nerve to give this thing an RS badge; but not a turbo. Absolutely incredible. And, I was seriously considering this as a possible replacement for my 2009 Mazda 6 V6 sSport trim sedan. My Mazda does 0-60mph. in 6.5 seconds. Seriously, how did Subaru *NOT* give the RS trim a turbo?

This isn't that bad. The same power train in the new Civic (2.0NA CVT) does 0-60 in 14.5s.
