I disagree it wasn’t “easy” firstly it was your generation that invented GPS so clearly y’all felt the need to improve the map system. Also I remember seeing this classic scenario from old movies and tv shows all the time where the “nagging” wife would ask the “grumpy”husband just to ask someone for directions because they're lost, and husband would say no looking confused at the map, or take horror movies like wrong turn. Why would these things exist if it was sooo “easy”I think you’re looking at that time period with rose tinted glasses because I think if y’all were honest yall would admit that you got lost a lot of the time.

Its crazy cuz i still have a map of town i work at in trunk. Super insane how that map is obsolete now

Yes, we pulled out a map. I wrote down what highways or roads ro take. How many miles before next turn. It was never easy to me.

OK, so my history teacher is like 78 years old before there was GPS she told us that she used to print out a map, and if and she will pray that she would not miss her turn😅😂

As I recall my thumb width was 50 miles so you look at your mileage and go from there took a little bit of time and work but it wasn't too bad
the hardest part was trying to fold the map back to its original uuugh impossible!

That doesn’t make sense not a lot of people have good memories and it’s really easy to speak but you can’t seem to do that
