No sign of imminent N. Korean provocation: S. Korean military

There were some concerns North Korea would launch a provocation,... more specifically an intercontinental ballistic missile,... to test the new U.S. president,... but as of now that it hasn't materialized.
South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said Saturday that it has not seen any unusual movements from the North Korean military.
Despite that,... the South Korean military says it will not lower its guard since the North could carry out a provocation at anytime.
In his New Year's address,... North Korean leader Kim Jong-un said the preparation for test-firing an ICBM is in the final stages, adding that it could be conducted at anytime and from anywhere.
South Korea, the United States and Japan are holding a three-day naval exercise aimed at countering North Korean missiles.
The missile warning drill, the third of its kind, will run through Sunday.
