Mechanics of Materials - Part 75 (Compound stress)/MOM/SOM/18ME32/18CV32
Показать описание
In many situations structures will be subjected to loads in more than one direction. When a body is restricted to stresses in two directions it said to be in a plane state of stress. In such cases, it is very important to know the maximum normal and shear stress acting on the material and also it is significant to know on which plane these stresses acts. Knowledge of these is required in the design of structures.
In this class I have derived expressions to find the normal and shear stress on a given plane when it is subjected to two dimensional state of stress (Plane state of stress).
