WATERCOLOUR PORTRAIT - My 5 TOP TIPS for beginners | TUTORIAL

This week I'm painting a watercolour portrait of a girl's face and thought I'd give you my top 5 tips and show you how I paint facial features including skin, freckles, eyes, noses, mouths and hair too!

I also talk you through my painting process and the different watercolour techniques I use -so I hope this video will be helpful for any beginners out there who like painting portraits!

omg! THANK YOU for the reference to the "ugly face"! i wont say how much paper of the ugly people ive tossed in the bin only to go back to boring landscapes and color squiggles on paper. I had a great sketch, composition, and inspiration only to be failed by a wtf moment. i thought i should just go on but not knowing that there were brighter moments ahead i just gave up. Hello Sarah, I enjoy finding the gems that Artists have in their YouTube library. I hope you continue to get views from this wonderful video. I guess that when you use “Best” or “top 5/10” watercolor techniques can be so advantageous for those searching for content on YouTube! I love the mix up enough paint tip! I use larger sized papers for many of my landscapes, I like to use white porcelain plates to mix up plenty of paint, especially for my sky’s! I love that watercolor paints will revive by adding water once you get the color right! Thank you for sharing your wonderful tips with your viewers! Please take care and be safe over there.
