Ebay 3 channel PWM Module

preview_player
Показать описание
Taking a look at a very inexpensive (4$ CAD) PWM module. This board has three separate channels and a very nice LCD.

PWM stands for pulse width modulation, which is basically controlling voltage going to a device by chopping up a set voltage. the higher the on-time (PWM%) the more average voltage will be sent to the device.
This module is useful for speed controlling motors, dimming LEDs and a host of other things!

Thanks for watching!

You don't need of more than 20kHz for motor PWM (just a bit higher than hearing sound). "Plate" on mosfet's gate waveform is a "Miller charge", generator has very weak output power for fast driving this mosfet (which is too powerful for this small motor). Also it's recommended to connect a diode to motor's pins for recuperate back EMF high voltage spikes.

No your videos are very good and do not need music all the good channels do not use music and you are in the with them, there is enough music on here  ... keep up the good work

Really cool to see how the wave behaved under high frequency low dutie cycle

15:50 U point out the voltage-overshoot of the falling wave-flank in the negative region... One of the problems of pwm-controlling a mosfet, is reaching the mosfet-specific minimum turn-on/off-speeds... Sometimes, in order to turn-off a mosfet fast, one has to use -3, 3V, even -5V, and so, drain the gate-capacitance faster... That´s what I know, and all the rest, I don´t... Do you think, that this overshoot in the negative, could assist in turning-off a mosfet faster, than if the overshoot weren´t there ??? Thanks for any answers... Cause if that were the case, I need no mosfet-driver-circuitry for my project, since this imperfect pwm-module overtakes this task, exactly by being non-perfect...
34:30 that is because of the 150kHz, I think: If a whole cycle takes solely 6, 6µs, then there isn´t much time left, for the mosfet to turn on... Compare the turn-on-times at 1kHz and at 150kHz, and I bet, they´ll be pretty similar, or at least, comparable...

Will the set frequency and duty cycle for both channels individually remain the same even after the power supply is removed? or it gets reset once the power supply is removed.

hi,
thank you for this great video.
want to ask, how many watt is the output for this module?

Would you be able to make a short video of using this device as a cooling fan controller? Thank you.

is there a place to get premade cases for these modules?

Great video. Is there a way to make this module output a negative pulse? (without reversing the leads?) I need to make a set of HI/LO (+/-) with a common ground.

I see that some motor experiments need a “fly-back capacitor across the power-ground connections on the motor. Could this be the source of your funky waveform?

Silly question but how am I supposed to see in realtime the duty varying on dso, I tried setting mine, but it's not showing in real time duty variation

Hey finally an upload! Great job as usual, also have you considered having some soft background music? In my opinion it would work wonderfully for your video style

You missing the diod ( it necessary for the motor ) that why you see this signal

Do you know how could I invert the signal and have the complement of pwm1 in pwm2? As the osciloscope was doing?

I don't think your driving the gate of the mosfet with enough current to get clean switching.

Hi, how to use this device in metal detector? thank you

Mine has the same visibility problem, even to the naked eye. Kinda lame.

I could see by your plastic component container that you are Canadian. Dollarama.

I liked your experience. How about UART management?
