I use something similar. I look for a bullish break of restistance and then wait on a lower timeframe for close above the high of the candle that broke restistance.

You are my best ever on utube. This has always been my strategy. I wait for candle closure above wicks in uptrend and below wicks in down trend.
Then a retracement to any s/r and I enter in the direction of the breakout.
