The Most Popular Chinese Food in Korea

There's one Chinese noodle dish that's far more popular than the others. You'll find on every single Chinese restaurant menu in Korea, but curiously, it's much more Korean than it is Chinese. We went to it's birthplace in Incheon to try the real deal.

The noodle is a northern Chinese food but with a different flavor. We still eat it a lot in north China. It is difficult to find it in south China.

I put this on simon and martinas channel years ago when they didn't realize it is in fact a Chinese dish called Zhajiangmein. It is Chinese.

It's always interesting to learn about food that was once of a higher standing/reserved for special occasions has become common, anytime food or vice-versa!

I grew up eating Malaysian chinese food but when I went to Korea and ate their Korean version of chinese food, I found that I really liked it. Jjajangmyun and Jjampong were one of my favourite dishes and I know I can eat instant Jjajangmyun but its not the same without all the yellow pickled radish that you can find everywhere in Korea. I also went to Incheon's China town because I liked the korean chinese food so much and it didnt dissapoint, it was really really delicious. Okay, that's all I have to say.. umm, great video guys! Keep it up and have a good day! :)

One of the first dramas I ever watched was couple or trouble with Oh Jiho and Han Yeseul and in it one of the first things she really likes is jajangmyeon. Since watching that drama I became obsessed, and Jajangmyeon was the very first korean food I tried. Ooooo 2007 you were so good to me.

Jjajangmyeon started in Korea by Chinese-Koreans. They wanted to make a name for themselves and boy did they ever.

"Now, you can eat it ~~just 'cuz!~~"

The narrator just keeps raising the bar. I love this channel, keep it up folks!

I've only ever had the instant packaged version over here in the states, and I'm definitely not a fan of what I've tried. I'll keep an open mind and try the fresh stuff whenever I have a chance, but I don't have high hopes.

Do either of you have a preferred instant jajangmyeon brand? I never know which kind to buy. (although i’m sure the actual thing is way better but I’m but a lazy human)
