From a design standpoint, I appreciate how this introduces you to the idea of Wonder segments. There's nothing fundamentally different about the gameplay, you're just dodging piranha plants like usual, but the violent shift in context it makes it crystal clear that things are gonna get WEIRD when you set them off.
