I don't know why I love the line "I've never known Piranha Plants to carry quite a tune" so much. It makes Mario sound so seasoned, like he's been adventuring a number of times and this sight is so unusual to him. He has a pretty good idea of Piranha Plant behavior, or so he thought. They sing, apparently.

This was a really charming level when I played it and I'm glad it got a really charming lyrical adaptation. I especially like how Mario's compliment, Perfectly transitions into the "WONDERFUL!"

Man, Nintendo really hit a grand slam with this one. It's catchy, it's charming and the entire stage changes to the song. It's what pulled me into the game completely.

But this cover elevates it to being one of the best Mario songs ever. I will never un-hear these lyrics if I ever go back to that stage.

Did I mention that those lyrics are also perfectly wholesome, and should be the OFFICIAL lyrics for this song?

You know this is what I live about the Mario game series. At moments you get used to seeing some of the Mario creatures being portrayed as the bad guys but then Nintendo gives us these fun moments to make us realize like the Piranha plants have a good side to them

Not sure if anyone will remember it, but this amazing performance reminds me a lot of the singing fish from the Sea of Serendipity world in Rayman Origins
