MEPS diagnosed me with flat feet. Med board findings said my flat feet were aggravated by service but I was only rated by the VA for plantar fasciitis.

From m21-
V.iii.1.B.5.h. Evaluating Metatarsalgia and Plantar Fasciitis
Since metatarsalgia refers to pain in the forefoot while plantar fasciitis is associated with pain in the heel, the symptoms should generally not overlap and separate evaluations may be assigned unless assessment of the evidence reveals that separate evaluation would be in violation of the pyramiding rules at 38 CFR 4.14.

I am rated 50% bilateral Pes Planus/Plantar Fasciitis. Are there any secondaries I should be looking at? Or, ask for a higher rating?

if you have metatarsalgia(front of foot )and plantar fasciitis (heel of foot ) you can be rated for both!

Hey clay, been diving into your library and ran across this video…Back in 2011 I got out and was service connected for “Bilateral Plantar Fasciitis.” And it was service connected but only rated at 0% can I submit for a rate increase, and what should I expect? Semper Fi brother!

What happens to the previously given 0% ratings for plantar fasciitis now that the regs have a 10% minimum rating? I was given 0% in 2007. Can I ask the VA to grant me an increase (10%) due to a change in minimum rating for this condition without another exam?

I have a flat feet claim submitted I’m waiting on the decision. My question is I have looked at some of my medical records from entering the military service. I can not find the trajectory of my weight gain I plan on putting in a claim for my diabetes. How do I get the records for my continuous weight gain from the time that I sustained my foot injuries in-service till I was discharged after service and continue to gain weight until my diagnosis of diabetes, hypertension, and cholesterol problems

If there is no medical evidence or medical record but your MOS or Rate involved working on flight deck, excessive PT and stairwells from being on a carrier there is no way to get rated for this?

Got max rating for flat feet, got rated for policemans heel also, but that did not give me a second rating due to the Pyrmiding rule. But 17 years of having flat feet without treatment has messed up my ankles, knees, and back so bad I have ratings for every one of them also.

@clay the one question i did have is piratically pretraining to myself i have gotten multiple diagnoses in my military career some have diagnosed me with congenital flat feet and others have diagnosed me with acquired flat feet both from podiatry with me having both of these in my service treatment record do you think that this will be in my favor or against me?

I was just denied, didn't find a link between service and current diagnosis. But the favorable findings said they see the events. I'm Confused, they confirmed service injury and gave me a diagnosis at C &P exam, Isn't this the Link?

Favorable Findings identified in this decision:

The evidence shows that a qualifying event, injury, or disease had its onset during your service. Service treatment records show complaints of right knee pain in service.
You have been diagnosed with a disability. VA examination dated January 27, 2024 diagnosed right knee strain with osteoarthritis.

I got both flat feet and plantar fasciitis. Flat feet causes plantar fasciitis I thought they combined them together for 50%

My diagnosis was for 1 foot, by the time i got a nexus pain was in both feet and the c&p exam was for just the 1 foot. Still waiting decision, if they rate only 1 foot should i file a HLR or file for aggregation?
