I actually have genetic proof of this. I did a DNA test and found out that I was directly related to Lincoln through his father. I also found out that I had 5% sub-Saharan African genetics. This started me going through old family photos that my grandfather had, and as I continued going back around eight generations. All of our family started looking mixed race, eight generations would’ve been Lincolns time. I personally am darker than an average white person at 6 foot three 220 pounds with dark brown hair, olive skin and green eyes which is a byproduct of the brown eye gene. My hair is thick to the point where I can’t get any product to work on it. It was shocking to me as someone who was taught my whole life that I was white to find this out and then subsequently verify it via genetic testing.

Yes I know he's a melungeon but I think it's splitting hairs to not necessarily call him black.
Truthfully he wasn't black, but being of African descent ending American he would still be African-American in its truest form or at least partially.

Your picture was of Abraham Lincoln's step mother, Sally Johnson Bush (or Bush Johnson, I don't remember). I read the other day that no picture exists of Nancy Hanks.( Tom Hanks is a descendant of her brother). I'm Melungeon and proud of it.
