On the surface of it, Uluwatu is an idyllic surfing destination. A long winding left with tubes and lips to hit, and an offshore breeze that blows half the year.
It's a great package! But, there are plenty of hazards to deal with as well; Crowds, clean up sets, getting washed down the reef by a freight train current, and last but certainly not least: the reef.
I'm pretty sure there were plenty of tenderized feet at the end of this day, and with the afternoon low tide making things very shallow on the end section, it was a good opportunity for a little Uluwatu tattoo work for other parts of the body as well.
