I’m just crying watching this. Alvin, you were so blessed to have your parents who chose you, loved you and believed in your ability.

I'm a teacher at an elementary school and school wide we are focusing on a series called mindset which focuses on positive attitudes in students. This video is incredible and Alvin, you are absolutely a beautiful human inside and out. I cannot wait to show this next week. Thank you for sharing your story.

I party with Alvin when I was in high school. What an amazing person.
He has no limitations !
He told me something once
He said no matter what always be better than you can be.
Always be proud of who you are.
I was also taking away from my mother
at birth. Most mothers get to take their baby home but the government took me away and put me in an orphanage.
I also have a lot of disabilities. But my disabilities you can’t see. Alvin told me
that he felt sorry for me because I was losing the The battle of self-worth.
He probably doesn’t remember me maybe he does. The short brief conversations we had changed my life.
Now I am retired and feel free from my disabilities. Because watching Alvin has taught me that you can turn your disabilities and superpowers!

Had just learned my grandma known him personally through her work and had fondly remembered recognizing him out of town enjoying a meal with his family. I never would have learned about Alvin if we weren't talking about people full of beauty.

I'm born from a broken home, born with sensitivity to addiction and mental health issues. But it never stopped me, i could not learn as well as my friends, but now i'm on youtube helping people in different ways..

Alvin was a part of our lecture series circa 2000 at the College of Staten Island (CUNY).

I had the privilege of hosting him as campus activities board president, boy was the other board members jealous when he and I would up at Denny's after the show!

Never have I forgotten Alvin from about 25 years ago. 😊

My story... Being a child born with improper speech, poor retaining power, and below average IQ, I was told by siblings, friends, teachers and relatives that I am never going to pass my 8th standard.. But, I am on my way to PhD in economics... No one can stop

Changing lives is what you do. It's who you are. Saw you in Albuquerque, NM in the late 90s. Thank you for a life-changing event. I will say that before the curtains were drawn, everyone was thinking Phil Collins was the speaker. So glad we were all wrong.

She saw something that nobody else saw, and that was a positive potential. Brought tears to my eyes man. We should all strive to push everyone to their full potential. This guy is living proof of what the mind can surpass when the right attitude and mentor is put in place. I encourage everyone reading this to strive to become like his mother. Push everyone to their full potential it’s some of the most rewarding experiences you can ever do something no money can ever buy. Giving someone something they can never repay is one of the greatest currencies out there.
