Test Ride on KTM 250SX - Two Stroke

I test rode @mxoudi 's 2018 KTM 250 SX. It was WAY faster than I expected it to be. It felt like a rocket ship. I rode a Husky FC450 earlier the same day and the 250sx felt so much faster. It was light and the power came on instantly. It sounds a little lean so we will bigger jets in it the next time we ride. Thanks for watching.

Once u get into a 250 two stroke is hang on lol, I actually like the older kx500s as u get massive torque and you can keep it in 3rd and 4th on most tracks, those modern yz250s with 500 big bore kit is totally insane power, four stroke are good at higher speeds but two stroke so light and better imo

i had the same feeling of you when i tested my buddy 18 250 sx, it felt so fast compared to my 20 350sxf but he said the opposite when he rode my 350 lol ! so i guess its just a mental thing

I want to downgrade from a 450 to a 250, I guess this msy not be the right direction. I LOVE 2 strokes, the dyno says 57 horsepower, which is the same as a fast 450. Ft lbs of torque is 21, 450 is 33.

Anyone recommend a 2 stroke over a 450 for an older MX'er? My last 2 stroke was a 2002 Honda CR 250R
