A .20 cent raise in 9 years! Frito-Lay workers say they're required to take “suicide shifts” — two 12-hour shifts in a row, with just 8 hours of rest in between. “You leave at 7PM and they want you back in here at 3 o’clock in the morning.”

Having worked at a factory, this hits close to home. They paid the minimum and expect you to do ever increasing amounts of work. I quit two months in. Not worth the hassle.

Yep.I worked in an automotive factory, exact same shit. Worked 84 hours a week for months and months on end, also in deplorable conditions. My old team lead walked out one day in the middle of his shift, didn't say a word to anybody, got in his truck, pulled into some random driveway and shot himself. That's just one of many memories that haunt me. I still can't work in places like that. I have loads of experience, will actually interview and get hired on at other similar places, and can't make it past the parking lot on the first day. End up just going back home. Just can't.

I'm a truck driver and just took a load to Topeka to frito lay had to wait on a load way over an hour because they couldn't find the paper work on a trailer they loaded and sitting in the yard saw the people on strike so much confusion going on down there with the strike #stand ya ground

There are many choices when it comes to chips. Don't buy the Frito-Lay brand if they refuse to see the pain of stakeholders. If Frito-Lay employees and their families alone don't buy chips, there will be a pretty good dent in their earning.

It's sad that for some of these workers that have slaved it out for 25 years or more for the same company, they have no savings whatsoever. They punch in and punch out all of those years, pay their rent, bills etc... and repeat the same thing week after week as their life passes them by. By the time they realize that they were caught up in this vicious cycle they are in their 50's and 60's and nothing to show for it other than had a roof over their heads and food. Meanwhile, the CEO's are collecting millions in bonuses year after year, whether the company is profitable or not.

I applied to work at Frito-Lay several times and each time It never worked out. I guess that was God looking out for me. That shit sounds insane, leaving work to have to come back in 8 hours? How are you supposed to sleep? Or do anything? I would go insane, it's no way mentally I could do that.

This is how most factories in America are now. Speaking from experience as I worked at one myself in the past for about a year before being fed up and leaving. They literally drag you out on a training wage for months before finally giving you that 40 cent raise and the uniforms. Then surprise, you want a vacation day or day off, nope! Sorry, we are too short staffed and need you to work seven days a week. Meanwhile the office people get every weekend off plus holidays. We floor people worked all the holidays and then some while the company stuffed Christian values down our throats XD.

Thanks for the heads-up I will think twice about buying from them. I to work in a warehouse and I feel all the pain. I had a job fair to attend this Tuesday but thank God for the video. I stand with you. Let's keep one another lifted up in prayer. God bless.

Frito lay is the worst company ever! They Treat ALL the workers the same. My husband was told he couldn’t pick me up from the hospital, even though he worked more than 8 hours.

You really need to ask yourself one question. Where is the Union? These working conditions and long hours for low pay? These things are not new or recent. If you look at what these workers are saying, it's been going on at least throughout the pandemic, which has been on for a year-and-a-half. Why? These people pay a portion of those low wages for representation. They pay these do so that they will be protected. They pay these dues so they won't have to be overworked and underpaid. Where is the Union?
