How I Live Without a Phone as an Author & Entrepreneur

Many people have curiously asked me: "how on earth do you live without a phone and still have a small business and career?" In this video, I want to answer those questions to the best of my ability, because I think this is actually a very important topic, moreso now than ever before as more and more of us seek ways to disconnect from the disconnected culture built around phones, the internet, and social media. For me, this journey of living without a phone is about disconnecting and letting go of that which no longer serves me so that I can connect deeper with myself, my spirit, and that which truly matters: my purpose. So I hope this video serves you in a positive way and creates a springboard for you to begin to ask your own questions, get curious, and embark on your own journey.💛✨☀️

I practice distancing myself from my phone a lot. Always making sure I’m in control of the phone, not the other way around. Lots of great food for thought to up my game with how I manage phone time. Always be purposeful!

I'm working towards this sort of goal. My way of doing that was to order a non smart phone. I got one called the Wisephone that has texting, calls, calculator, clock, camera, and maps, but that's about it. I'll still use a tablet so that I can have access to apps, but it's not going to have data so I'll only be able to use it when connected to wifi or if I predownload things like music or audiobooks.

This video is so helpful. I have been addicted to social media and I ended up getting my mental health messed up and I want to be away from my phone. Within these few days as a student everything is just done on phone or online and I end up scrolling down social media. Can you give me an advice how to be away from my mobile?

It is always a pleasure to watch one of your minimalist videos. Living without a phone; now that is a thought. I wouldn't mind turning my phone off most of the time, but alas, it is the sole telecommunication device I have. Though I do have my phone on 'do not disturb' most of the time, especially when writing, I do have favorites set up for those numbers that have to reach me at all times; elderly parents and, of course, my son's school. 
Most prominently, I agree with your view on social media and our interaction and, dare I say, obsession with it. We need to realize that it is merely a tool to assist in our communication with the global community we live in.

I came to a point, when i realised that my addictions are making tremendous influence on my life, i've done it quite radical. Not using phone at all for a year, sim card has expired, no social sites at all for the same amount of time, quit videogames, quit smoking cold turkey, i've been smoking for ten years. But after a year i stuck on a fundamental problem, i can't find a job without phone, not because i need it to call people but becase i can't authorize, i feel like i'm unable to pass captcha since there is required forms to fill, and phone is one of them, you can apply for a job sometimes without a CV, there is often a checkbox "no cv". But hell no one making forms with checkbox "no phone".

About people and connection, i never been so socialized in my life before like i'm doing now, i'm spending way more time with friends and parents and even strangers. It feels amazing!

As a conclusion i want to thank you for the deepest thought i've got from your video "it's just a thing". I was enjoying my rebelion of non-usager, that missed the part where it's just a thing, i gonna buy sim card and find a job, then i'll off my phone again.
