1:06:06 I'm not sure whether the good you sold at 1:05:34 counts as a consumption. Usually in RftG, trade and consume are 2 different things, and looking at the tile of Trade/Consume, it says "sell" instead of "consume". I'm also looking forward to an answer to this.

If I hadn't purchased Roll for the Galaxy in 2018, I could totally see where I would have bought this game. I agree with the other posters, though, that there doesn't seem to be enough differentiation between each of the different flavors of RftG/NF to make me want to have more than one flavor. Really appreciate the run through!

Jon, another excellent playthrough. I think that's 3 playthroughs in a row that I've watched of yours where you didn't win (darn ghost players). ;-) While I agree with the comments below about RftG vs. NF, I do feel that I could get this one to the table more often as the iconography is better (or better explained) than RftG (a major complaint from my gaming group).

Great playthrough as usual, thanks Jon! As others have said, it looks far too similar to Race and Roll to be a worthwhile purchase for me. Although I'm sure I'd love it! I find it fascinating that it's gone full circle back to something very like Puerto Rico (having started as the card game development of that game)

Also, I think at 1:05:10 yellow missed a credit for diversified economy?

At 28:00 you skipped a bonus for Diversified Economy. Not sure if that would have been 1 or 2 bonus though, does it have to be produced that turn?

This game is so, so good. Much better than Race, probably better than Roll (I'll need to play it more to make that call). Having all of the possible developments visible from the jump is just fantastic.

My problem with this game is not that it is a bad game. It's basically Race for the Galaxy, and that's a good game.

The problem is... it's basically Race for the Galaxy. It's certainly not a *better* game than RftG. But it is a more expensive, less portable, and less elegant game. So why would I get it? Puerto Rico at least has the excuse of coming out before San Juan.

I like the look of the game play but in the UK at the moment your e going to have to pay at least £60 for it. That's not good value for money. There are also aspects of the game (the crazy plastic resource cubes) that are overproduced for no good reason. Oversized, over complicated design which just adds to the price with little to know benefit to cosmetics.

This is a great video. Well-produced and very informative. Wouldn't have even realised this was your first time playing unless you'd said.
