I KNEW IT!! so my husband went to Baylor for his master's degree and we lived in an apartment complex (the Quad) right near that house. There were always chickens in that yard, and one day this guy walked out of his backyard and called "hey! I just got some baby chicks and some ducklings. Wanna come see them?" We'd seen the guy around, so we felt *decently* safe following him into his backyard to see the baby animals. IT WAS HIM!!!! IT WAS UNCLE BEN!!! That's the backyard we went into and that's the shed he stored the chicks in! My husband and I have thought for a year (since we started watching Urban Rescue Ranch) that it just must been, but now we KNOW it was!!! WE MET UNCLE BEN!!

It's interesting how those kittens seem quite relaxed even after they got sepparated from the mom.

Turns out finding oneself warm, dry, cozy and safe from the storm instead of lost, wet and covered in lice from head to toe makes a big difference.

Hey Uncle Ben, I had to do a rescue of a mother feral & kittens before. We got her into a separate cage from the kittens by putting said kittens in one cage and having the non-opening end face the non-opening end of the open cage so momma cat could climb in, and we could close the door while she was checking her babies. I know that might be a lot of work to return to a spot where the mother cat might now be gone from, but for future reference that's what worked for us.
