FIX SQUEAKY INSOLES / ORTHOTICS

This is a video of how to prevent/stop custom insoles/orthotics from squeaking in shoes.

I've found that when I put orthotics in shoes, the orthotics have very slight movement, which causes a squeaking, rubbing, or chafing sound, which is annoying. Candle wax is all I use to reduce the friction of movement, and it works well.

Squeaky insoles are baffling. These things are never cheap so you would think they’d spend the pennies to make them not do that

How do you know they don’t squeak because the orthotics don’t fit properly

Use Dryer Sheets. Old Army Technique. Take out the sole. Use the sole as a pattern on the dryer sheet. Cut out the pattern of the sole on the dryer sheet. Place into the shoe then place the sole on top. Automatic SQUeak Less shoes, any shoes

Thanks! The squeak on my new insoles was driving me nuts. I normally wear the shoes at work so i never noticed the noise until I was on vacation just now lol. I didn't have a candle handy so I used a stick of deodorant instead and that also worked. I would've lost my mind without this video giving me the idea.
