Mills & Boon iPhone App Review
Показать описание
Read Your Favorite Romantic eBooks.
Mills & Boon
• Mills & Boon prides itself on being one of the first publishers, to convert to eBooks
• The app uses BookLamp technology to search its 15,000 strong title catalogue, and recommend other titles based on the currently viewed book's DNA, instead of suggestions based on sales figures.
How it works?
The app ties into Harlequin's existing eBookshelf service, through which readers can buy or subscribe to its ebooks, especially the Romance Genre, that the company is famous for.
Pros.
• New titles based on themes or story pace, speeding up the selection process and encouraging readers to "try something new".
• Features like bookmark pages, look up word definitions using Google, and share excerpts via Twitter, Facebook and email available.
• New users get nine books to start them off.
Cons.
• Not compatible with e-books bought from Amazon's Kindle store.
• Mills & Boon titles have already been available through Bluefire's separate app.
• Readers may discover books, that might not fall in their area of interest.
Zappka Verdict.
The app is simply designed to attract the key focus on discover, read, shop and share and it successfully does that, giving the Mills and Boon fans, a very pleasant experience.
