In this video, I replace the thermal pads between the memory and the Heatsink of the GPU in an attempt to reduce the thermal issues of this GIGABYTE RTX 3090 for cryptocurrency mining. I also changed the Thermal Paste to Kryonaut Extreme (Non Conductive) Thermal Paste.

The results MAY differ from GPU to GPU, thus the clocks/undervolt/voltage displayed in my videos may not work for you due to GPU Brand/Memory/Manufacturing, etc. Temperatures and cooling techniques will both play a role and have an impact. DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH AND TEST AT YOUR OWN RISK.

Hi there Mate! Good vid it was helpful! Althought I'd like to share some what I've learned changing thermal pads: It is necessary to clean the heatsink like hell, but also it is quite important to clean the vrams surface aswell, like super super clean. (with isopropyl too) I was using 2mm Gelid GP ultimate 15w/mk for rtx 3080s with pretty decent results. (25-30°C drop on the vrams each gpu, so I can keep all gpu vram temps at 78°C with autofan in trex miner.)

Cheers Mate, keep up the good work! :)

Stick a small flathead screwdriver in the middle of the single wire clamp and that will open the two tiny clips on the base of the clamp.

Did you sell this 3090? Because I just replaced the thermal pads for one I bought on ebay, the front ones felt fairly new, the back ones were all significantly drier.
