Gigabyte RTX 3090 - Thermal Pad Replacement

Replacement of Thermal Pads. The card was previously thermal throttling with poor performance. Overheating in games. Could only mine at 78 MH/sec due to overheating. Now mines at 108-112. No throttling whatsoever.

My memory temps dropped freaking 44 degrees. I can’t believe it. From 102 to 58. Even seeing 56. Everyone should do this if they have a 3090. It’s really quite simple. Just be careful.

I see you use 1mm Pads for the memory. Thats wrong, they have to be 2mm at the front and back. They will make no or really bad contact.

i didnt understand which ones should i use i bought 1.5mm and 2mm . Can i use 2mm to all of them? And for the backplate you didnt show in the video. I wana replace them also. Which size did i need for them 2mm ort 1.5mm?

Hola buenos días, le cambié los pads termicos y ahora cuando inicio la PC se prende el fan al 100% y luego se pone la pantalla negra. Puede ser que sea porque le cambie los pads por otro grosor y no esté haciendo tope con el GPU el disipador? Gracias
Hello good morning, I changed the thermal pads and now when I start the PC the fan turns on at 100% and then the screen goes black. Could it be because I changed the pads for another thickness and the heatsink was not hitting the GPU? Thanks
