This is a translate type function not an offset. You could "offset" a single line with this method, but not any type arc or closed geometry. You are simply translating/moving (and copying) it instead of offsetting it for practical uses.

Thanks. But it's not a real offset. It doesn't works fine on small arcs nor on closed sketches.Imho this function should be used for a different use: copy, clone, etc. -as it was made for.

I suggest you change the title of this video. Because the title makes it sound like you are going to show users how to offset a sketch object relative to another plane. This video s a video about creating parallel features WITHIN a sketch.

Dude love you video. Quick and to the point. I just started using FreeCAD to design roof layouts and this is exactly what I need in order to follow a floor plan then offset for the roof overhang. I also had a question if you don't mind answering. For some reason like halfway through my sketch I would draw a new line and if I tried to move it or set a new constraint it gives me constraint errors. Is there an auto constraint option I may have accidentally clicked disallowing me to move new lines? Up until that point I was able to put a line down then set a constraint for the size I need. Thanks for your Time and Effort!

Sorry, dude, but your "arc offset" is "wrong". This 2 mm dimension is the horizontal distance between the 2 end - point. What is the real distance between the 2 concentric arcs is a different question.

FreeCAD is good, but that's one of the reasons why I'm about to abandon the idea of insisting in trying to use it. I can't understand how a simple command as an offset becomes a hard task when it's a basic tool, even for 2D CAD platforms...

You dont have a basic knowledge what is offset. the curve 2mm is 100 % less offset, because perpendicural distance must be less than 2mm. You will see if you make arc with much lower radius.
