The fact that people had Erriyon dismissing Lyles so easily in the 200 shows how fickle some these so called track fans can be. Too many folks jumping on and off bandwagons far too often. Lyles is 200m sprint technician/mechanic. He is a real student of his event. He can talk his shit because he knows his shit. When he drops a 19.3hi/19.4lo at world don't be surprised.

I mean to me something definitely went on behind the scenes because i’ve never seen lyles do or say anything like that before. I got even more cracked up when I saw kerley laughing; I don’t think I even have a mental image of him smiling 😅😂

I remember when norman broke lyles streak and how motivated he was; he dropped a fast time in his next race, and admitted he likes being challenged because he is “lonely at the top” (lol). He is the only reigning WC I can think of that ran all rounds of nationals, he isn’t scared of competition, thats what he likes! Most exciting race of the championships for me.

Mathew Bolling is really stuck just above 20 sec here. Unless my memory is faulty, he has hardly improved since high school. Something drastic needs to occur for Mathew. I know it must be hard being the focus of attention for so long but times running out for Mathew if he really wants a spectacular career and just in the last few weeks Abbie Steiner has now started running consistently under 22. Maybe Bolling has extracted all the talent there is in his body? Some ppl that peak very early die out when others are just beginning to shine. Hope not, he would be great for the sport if he could figure out what it is that is holding himself back
