This is exactly my story, a Californian girl lured me out of MI at about 20 and kept me in California for about a year while she finished college. I came to my senses one day when I attempted to go over the deer hunting regulations in CA, at page 532 I dropped the regs and said " I can't do this anymore " . . . I then called her and told her we are leaving this hell hole and getting married then living in a state where deer hunting is not a game of chess and that does not have a bacon tax. The journey was long and hard but we made it out.

I am from the UK and found this very funny having travelled a lot in the USA on business. I really notice the differences in the way people think and act between states.

Funny thing is I was staying just outside Coronado (San Diego) and after two days started thinking 'I could really live here'. I think California does that to people.
