The best way I found to break thinking I had to always be on a phone of some sort of technology is for me to finally get serious about reading my Bible. When I read the Word I’ll set my electronics away somewhere and read for an hour or more and the Lord has helped me not think I need something else other than His word

This is partially why ADHD diagnoses are going up. I have it (it’s been obvious since childhood bc I was that kid bouncing off the walls), but I’ve noticed how my attention span has gotten worse as I get more tech around me. I constantly feel like I have to be doing two or more things at once or my mind wanders and goes crazy. Doing nothing is already a challenge bc of my ADHD, but it really is a lot harder with more and more options coming out.

As a side note: Ancient Rome had the Coliseum to entertain the people and keep them complacent. That was only an occasional event. Today, we have constant entertainment. Something to think about.
