Steve from Serious Keto also did her 'noodles' but used a can of chicken instead. He said let them sit for an hour in the water bath. My chemicals are coming any minute!

we even had an Old Spaghetti Factory in Toronto... those were the days lol... really wanted to try this until getting the powdered yolks put a full stop to it BUT when I checked the original poster's recipe I noticed she had updated it with a real egg sub for the powder! YAY that's definately doable now!

You ladies did a great job on the noodles! I noticed your mixture was a bit thick (my fault). I had mentioned 3 Tbsps in the video mistakenly and have pinned a comment with the correct amount, which is 2 Tbsp. Regardless, it worked out for you! I prefer to soften the noodles to make it more al dente and to get rid of the miracle noodle texture. If you are okay with that, you can skip the softening step, but know that texture can be controlled! A few of my followers have skipped it as well.

Depending on how thick your noodles are, it might need to be in the calcium bath longer to fully set or else it will be mushy inside.

If you would like to dry out the noodles and have it soak up the sauce, put it in a pan on low heat for a few minutes.

Love your video, you're so real and honest. Glad to see the noodles can be made even with someone who wasn't successful in Chemistry, lol. The part where you were looking for the corner of the bag is hilarious! I love spaghetti, as do my grandkids, so this is one gastronomical experiment I am willing to try. It looks like it makes a lot, enough for a big family of big eaters. Thanks for sharing your experience!

I saw Steve (Serious Keto) make these, but I am really glad to see you guys giving it a go as well- I was on the fence about buying all of those specialty ingredients, I'm not sure I miss pasta that much, but you never know, you made it look so easy.

Back in Annandale, Virginia, (outside Wash DC) we used to have a place called the Spaghetti Mill -- probably a lot like your Old Spaghetti Factory, etc. It was around FOR YEARS but finally went belly up. Love this recipe & can't wait to give it a try! I thought I was happy with the hearts of palm substitutes, but this looks better by a long shot!
