How to transition from BULK to CUT

How do you start cutting, so if you’re transitioning from a bulk to a cut, the first thing you wanna do is settle in to your weight, and what I mean by this is to just maintain your weight for 1 week to figure out your caloric maintenance, and then decrease your calories by about 200-300 for the next week. Ideally you want to lose weight slowly at a rate of about 1 lb per week or 1-3% of your total bodyweight per month, but you’ll most likely initially lose weight quickly once you cut your carbs because your body will use more glycogen causing you to lose water. In terms of training, your workouts should stay pretty much the same, with either slightly less volume per session or slower progression on your lifts, since your body will most likely take a bit longer to recover. But if you want to maintain as much muscle as possible, or even potentially build muscle, keep lifting heavy, train intensely, and don’t go crazy with cardio. A few low-moderate intensity cardio sessions a week separate from your actual lifting is all you really need, although it isn’t completely necessary unless you prefer cardio over cutting your calories.

I hope that helps and subscribe for more lifting tips! #Gym #Shorts

I'll probably make a more in depth video about cutting similar to my bulking vid, but I plan on making that when I'm a bit leaner 😅

Looking to get protein powder, creatine, or any other supplements?

Seeing the face during bulk vs what it is now is a big motivator for me. I got a chubby face and at bulking weight and it’s driving me crazy and makes me look like way younger than I an

I always do 30 minute cardio on the treadmill first and then I start my lifting session. Cardio just helps me get mentally prepared for the next step.

Good advice. I'm having a difficult time losing weight. It took me a whole year just to lose 13 pounds

Now tell everyone how tired and shitty you’ll feel everyday because that’s something everyone leaves out. Cutting calories after a certain amount of time will have you down in the dumps not even wanting to lift at times 😭

Honestly...thank you for this...I've often wondered why I fucked up some cuts and burnt out too soon...and maybe because I went full force without backing down on intensity!

Last summer I was burning 5, 000 calories per week cycling. It definitely cut some fat, but I think my upper body strength struggled, too. This year I'm gonna trade 1 cycling day for 1 lifting day, so 6 days per week where 2 days are cycling for 1200 cal each, then 4 days for lifting. At the moment I'm doing 1 cycling per week around 800 cal and my upper body is growing a lot, but man I love to cycle so once the summer hits I can't resist :)

Agree for the most part. Except I would start the cut off with a rep range different than what you have been training in. Also every 4 weeks mix up your rep range to prevent too much adaptation
