Hello, very grateful for your AS videos. Just wondering if you could do A level videos for philosophy and ethics, for example religious language and religious experience.
Thank you so much!
You helped me get an A last year! Would be very much appreciated!

Sorry to bother you, and i’m sure you’ve heard this a million times: You said that Cicero was Greek. He’s Roman- he fought Mark Antony in 43 Bc. Tully was educated in Greece, but he was a Roman citizen. I’m a classics and RE student doing A levels. Thank you so much for your videos! You saved my GCSEs and your A level videos are great summaries!

God sure does appear to be designed, doesn't he? In fact, if the universe and the things in it have the appearance of design, how much more does a perfect and maximally great intelligent designer have the appearance of design!

2:28 "The temptation" ? is "a false one" ?
"The temptation to attribute the appearance of design to actual design is a false one" What kind of argument is that?
Did he say why it's a false one in his book?

You described Cicero as being a Greek? He was Roman. Other than that pretty useful.

If this universe was purposely "designed" for us, it would be the ultimate Rube Goldberg machine, bar none!

The big bang was very simple, and the end result (you and me) is very complicated. Evolution has done a marvelous job.

However, if you take *all* the causes of the end result (you and me), then all those causes have to be as complicated as the end result, because (being *all* causes) they effectively contain a description of the end result.

I'm not claiming this list of causes can be known or written down. I'm just saying that the sum of all the causes are effectively a definition of the thing they eventually produce. How can something be more complicated than its definition? That's like saying it's more complicated than itself.

Hence you, me and life on earth, can't be more complicated or improbable than the big bang *along with* all the laws that govern the universe. There's still complexity that needs explaining.
