Paula White: Trump’s Heretical New Faith Office Advisor | Ep 1137

In today's episode, we go over the best and worst of yesterday's Super Bowl ads, from a tearjerker Google Gemini commercial to a cringe "anti-hate" commercial featuring Snoop Dogg. Of course, it wouldn't be a Super Bowl without the He Gets Us campaign running yet another commercial that completely misses the point of the gospel. At least players and even Nick Sirianni, the Eagles coach, gave glory to God before and after the game. And did Kendrick Lamar mock America, or was his halftime performance patriotic? Lastly, Trump named Paula White, prosperity gospel "pastor," the head of his new White House faith office. We go over some of her false teachings and distortions of the gospel and why, despite her closeness to Trump, she may not be the best person to head this important office.

I cringed when I heard Trump’s choice of Paula White. As a new Christian, I was caught in the NAR and prosperity “gospel” for 8 years. I have been out now for 2 decades. Within these movements, there are many distortions of the character of God which lead to the misinterpretation of all of scripture.

As a born and raised KC girl, (and more importantly, born again) I have no issue at all having lost to a team who puts Jesus front and center in their organization. Faith is central to the Chief's organization too. It's so awesome to hear all these men talk about their faith in Jesus Christ.

As a New Yorker in Manhattan who met Donald Trump back in the 1990s -- and living here, like, who didn't, right? -- I would tend toward making a flip comment about Paula White and her shenanigans. But this is too serious to make light of it.

Pray for President Trump. Pray for wisdom for him. Pray that he seeks God and Jesus Christ for guidance. And pray some good godly men. Who know their Bibles. And who are filled with the Holy Spirit will also be by Trump side, guiding him. And of course, pray for Paula White. Pray God‘s grace over her. Pray God‘s mercy over her.
