I immediately came to this video after I watched Chris Tucker's interview on the George Lopez show and it compliments each other so well.  What Chris Tucker said in that interview directly coincide with what Jackie Chan said in this video. I think they're such good friends that they don't ever conflict and lie about what they're saying about each other. The part about 'Showing up late on the set' are confirmed by both Jackie and Chris.

I remember Chris Tucker once accepted an award by himself for best movie duo or something after the first Rush Hour. He never mentioned Jackie Chan in his acceptance speech and instead promoted a charity. You can definitely get the sense that they didn't actually get along back then. Later on, Jackie has also said that he used to avoid Chris in-between their shooting schedules. But their friendship really developed in the sequels.
