Mysterious lights above Ontario city leave residents perplexed

Residents of Kingston, Ont., were treated to a mysterious light show above their city Thursday night.

“It was incredibly bright. The objects were sort of dancing around at times as well,” said Evan Ginsberg, describing what he witnessed.

But while the strange display has some searching for answers, one astrophysicist suggests it probably has a simple explanation. Kaytlyn Poberznick reports.

I'm in Ontario and I have some amazing pictures of a fleet of 60 drones from November in my small town, also it was terrible weather, I'm still trying to figure out why on Earth they would be doing that in our town. There's nothing really here.

I love how the scientist states that there are several normal explanations as to what this is but didn't say if he watched the video nor did he provide a good explanation.... Has he even watched the news in the USA? I took pictures of something last night that was not explainable as well and hope to get a good video as well. I will keep looking up!

I Know that most if not all people will believe me, which is probably why I have not shared this with anyone, but just over a year ago, I was on vacation in Victoria B.C., and my favorite spot was being in the inner harbor, and late one
night, I bright small light appeared deep in the dark night sky, and it was moving slow at first, then faster than a normal commercial air liner could travel, and it pretty much came to a stand still high above the parliament buildings, and then suddenly it went beyond hypersonic travelling in a z pattern that then just disappeared behind the parliament.

I believe I saw one of these over sky in Ottawa, I was in passenger back seat of a car. I looked up to notice the full moon and at the same time saw what appeared to be a bright star shaped object in the dark sky. It would move, then stop, then start moving again.

I saw the exact same thing back in 1988 in central Ontario. There were no drones back then. I thought they were military helicopters at the time, but after learning more about aviation i realized that was impossible. They don't fly acrobatics and if they did it would not be that close to the ground at night. There was dozen of them flying in close proximity and they made no sound. I watched them for about an hour then headed home. Have no idea what they were. It is strange seeing it again on video.

I saw the exact same thing Thursday night here just south of Cambridge Ontario. Shot a video of it too...glad I wasn't going crazy and others saw the same thing.
