hey i have a theory abt the song :^)
i think it’s about not wanting to only be remembered for one thing you’ve done. like “if i jingle my keys, don’t call me keyman please” is saying that he doesn’t want to just be remembered for jingling his keys. then “refine, rewind. you’ll find me inside” is saying that if you step back and stop only focusing on the 1 thing you know him for, you’ll see who he actually is, which is what he wants. then the ending with “fine you can fawn til the dawn” is basically him accepting the fact that he can’t change that he’ll be remembered for just one part of his life. then he greets his “lovely girl” which maybe is just him trying to go on with his life bc he’s accepted that he’s kind of helpless. not sure if this made sense!
