9-Ball - EFREN REYES vs COREY DEUEL - 1999 US Open 9-Ball Championship

It’s the familiar “Young Gun vs Veteran” match, but this time it’s the 1999 version of things.

Deuel was only 21 at the time of this match, and just getting started on the pro tour. He would go on to a very successful career and many major titles.

Efren Reyes was a ripe old 45 for this match and was the reigning World 9-Ball Championship.

Grady Mathews and Scott Smith called the action.

This was the first pro match I watched in person. I was sitting a few seats away from the booth, so I could hear Grady and Scott.

I love Scott Smith and Grady too. Grady constantly and painfully talks over Scott so much throughout this match it made it hard to watch at times for me.
