9-BALL – Efren “The Magician” Reyes and Ohio’s Troy Frank met in the Finals of the 163 player 9-Ball field during the 1st Annual Derby City Classic in 1999. Reyes, 44, won the 1995 U.S. Open 9-Ball Championship, the 1995 Reno Open (with the “Z” shot), and earlier in this event, he won the 1-Pocket division. Frank, in his first event of this caliber, just defeated Jim Rempe in the Semi-Finals. Let’s see how he handles this one.

Troy was not really nationally known but he was a really fine young player . I saw him play and beat many of the top players in a row at several big tournaments prior to this. Anybody that made the mistake of thinking he was much below the best players would have lost their dough.
I'm glad he did not stay in the pool life too long. He always seemed like a really nice young man also.

The commentary was also quite good but i think they were talking to close to the mic, and the breath sounds are being picked up very clearly. Thats my only complaint.
