Indian FTR 1200 S Test Ride and Specs

Motorcycle in this video: 2022 Indian FTR 1200 S

Coming from a Yamaha XJR 1300, I bought a (used) FTR 2019 in september 2022. Although I still love the XJR (also a torqy bike) and the smoothness of that 4inline, there's a smile in my helmet everytime I pull on the gashandle of my FTR. And I never ride it in sportmode.. because you don't need to. You always have enough torque.
It's more comfortable than the XJR, because of the height (I have the version with 19 inch wheels front and 18 inch rear). A lot of people say that the 2022 version corners better (because of the 17 inch wheels), but I rode both and my FTR feels like it leans itself when cornering on our 'polder' roads (I live in the Netherlands). I love it!
And yes there are downsides, but the only big one I can think of is the tank that could be a bit bigger.. and putting gas in it takes a bit longer (because of the tank being under the seat) but other than that. Oh yeah.. the price is pretty steep compared to most Japanese bikes. But that's also because taxes on motorcycles (and cars) are very high in the Netherlands.

Definitely a bike I wouldn’t mind owning. Some of the rider aids were cool, like lean angle sensitive ABS. Be safe bro.

I wonder if a motorcycle has the Lane keep assist too and combine it with Cruise control :p
While the display is starting, can you start and just go?

Looks and sounds awesome, the fuel tank size and range is a bit ordinary for my liking

I've never seen a review of this bike focosing on the fueling of the bike in real trafic jams, on the stop and go in the city. It's always in large roads with litle trafic

i have a love/hate relationship with indian bikes, in one hand they are amazing and IMO their ugliest bike still looks awesome but i'm not a fan of overly huge engines, this is the smallest engine they make as of right now btw.
